Sometimes, we can find the strangest forms of life right here on Earth, without any Sci-Fi extra-terrestrial magic! While making these time-lapsed image sequences of Phalenopsis Orchids (also called "Moth" Orchids), I was surprised to see what looked... like a little face staring out at me from inside the blossom as it opened! It was an odd-shaped, almost bird-like face with two large alien-looking eyes. Students will enjoy these beautiful, real life images. Plant Anatomy Physiology Botany is a 19 minute video that is a lecture. The sound quality is a bit weak, but the images are good. The teacher may want to stop the video at times and help add depth to the lesson.
