Whether you're writing an essay for school, to argue a point, or to advance an opinion, the steps to follow are the same. This video addresses seven basic steps to follow when writing an essay. Step 1: Choose a topic of interest. Step 2: Research in...formation and take detailed notes. Step 3: Start where you want the reader of the essay to end up. Step 4: Outline your essay to develop at least 2-3 arguments supporting your thesis sentence. Step 5: Introduce your topic and state your thesis. Step 6: Summarize your arguments in your concluding paragraph without being redundant. Step 7: Don't worry too much. The more you work at it, the better your writing will get.
