They also discusses why people left their home country, how people came to America, Ellis Island and what happened there, movement of people into the cities and how they lived, and they discuss the Jacob Riis who was an immigrant himself and became a police reporter for the New York Tribune. Video shows some historical pictures and some students acting. Video is of good quality and contains good information. Video is appropriate for middle elementary and middle school students.
