Montery Bay boats an undersea canyon that is deeper than the Grand Canyon. This rich environment is home to krill, Humboldt squid, mola mola, otter, and a plethora of time animals that thrive in giant kelp forests. Montery Bay's estuary is also a critical habitat for hundreds of species of birds and marine life. The diverse ecosystem has made Monterey Bay one of the most studied parts of the ocean. Run time 04:36.
